Johanna Zinecker has been a lecturer in British Culture and Literature since 2013. She focuses on visual arts practices and cultural productions in interdisciplinary and social-political fields and has a background in cultural producing and curating. Her current research, which she conducts as a Joint PhD with King’s College London, examines artistic and curatorial production on Mental Health and Madness in the UK context, utilizing approaches from across the Critical Medical Humanities, Disability and Cultural Studies. She also has main interests in feminist and queer culture, ethics and theory and in cultural policy, in particular in relation to the politics of diversity and social inclusion.

Johanna teaches in the areas of Cultural Studies, Literature and Cultural Management and is academic advisor for student placements in the UK cultural sector.

Since 2017 she is also the Women’s Representative and Equality Officer of the Centre.
